Music Ranting

Love Will Come Through by Travis really is a beautiful song. You don't realize how amazing music is until you actually try to play it. Then you get this serious appreciation for musicians, not only for playing some crazy guitar part perfectly, but for thinking it up, too.
It amazes me that some people (like my guitar teacher) can listen to any piece of music, play around on their instrument for literally less than a minute, and replay it almost exactly. I don't think I'll ever be able to do that.
And now that I'm trying to write songs, I'm starting to realize how genius people like Fran Healy and Bono and all the other incredible songwriters are. It's a really difficult thing to do. And then to make it go with music and sound good, and catchy...I'm quite blown away by music right now.
And FINALLY I have something worth writing a blog post about. I'm ever so proud of myself.

I'm very proud of you! And I'm also very proud of how wise you sounded. My dad can do that, with several different instruments. I can not do that, however. It takes me a couple of hours to decipher simple songs without chords. Look at you, whipping out lead guitarist/singers like that. You are so musically bound.
I hate to bust your groove, but how was that a rant?

Toaster. Wow that sounded intelligent. Ya i think its amazing how people can write such incredibly beautiful music. I love really beautiful violin music because it either makes you want to cry or makes you want to dance. I appreciate violin players a lot more now that i know how hard it is to sound good on a violin. I think its amazing also how people can come up with the steps for origami stuff. Its amazing if you can follow the complex directions to make something from origami but how would anyone be able to come up with the complex directions. ya thats a little random i guess but it is still the same type of thing.
